You can have a Supper Club anywhere you like. A home restaurant, a pop up restaurant, some people even have them in their garden sheds! These are the most interesting as they really appeal to the hardened foodie.
Having been together for just over a year, my then boyfriend and I travelled to Rome for my 30th birthday. It was such a cool experience and one that always makes me smile when I think about it. We had very little money and were just starting out in our relationship together. This was a lovely surprise birthday trip.
I love the crisp clear mornings and chilly nights that have arrived along with Halloween this week. We have always celebrated Halloween, even as a small child my mum used to throw the best Halloween Parties.
Baklava is sweet, sticky and flaky at the same time. It is the ultimate over indulgence and generally made using filo pastry, butter, nuts and syrup or honey…
As the days are getting longer and warmer Spring is so close I can almost smell it! Everyone is starting to dry their washing outside, children are playing in the gardens after school and everything just looks and feels a little bit better in general than the wet drizzly post-Christmas dark nights that January and February had to offer….
As I may have mentioned in a previous post, one of the things I find utterly amazing about Persian cooking and cooking in general is how a collection of ingredients can take on a totally different identity when they come together ….
I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember. I think in-fact it probably was my first love. There is something so satisfying ….
