Firstly I am so unbelievably over the moon that I have reached 1000 followers on Instagram!! It constantly amazes me that people are genuinely interested in my cooking and take the time to leave such lovely comments and ask for recipes. This is the main reason I started this little page in the first place. To share with all of my lovely followers all the recipes you have asked for, so I hope you enjoy reading and thank-you for following 🙂
I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember. I think in-fact it probably was my first love. There is something so satisfying about having a collection of ingredients that on their own have an identity that can be entirely different when put together with other ingredients to make something absolutely divine.
Saffron is a perfect example of this. On its own its lengthy strands are delicate and offer a subtle taste. But when crushed with sugar to brake the strands, dissolved in hot water then added to a dish completely transforms whatever you are cooking to something utterly decadent and indulgent. My dad taught me this little trick and if you ever use saffron, please, never again just throw a pinch of it into a dish without crushing and dissolving first! You won’t regret it I promise.
My next blog will have a recipe using saffron in it with ingredients you wouldn’t expect to work but I promise you they do so completely!
